I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to work on Orcs Must Die 3 as an Environment Artist. Working on Orcs Must Die 3 was a collaborative effort. When I begin a level art task, the design team has finished blocking out the map and the initial art passes were completed by Brad Crow or Elyse Bromser-Kloeden. My responsibility was to complete the final art passes on these maps which included set dressing, polish work, and tech passes. Set dressing included placing props, adding trim, replacing walls/ceilings/floors with different blueprint sets, and building out areas to beautify the level. Tech passes included trap grid fixes, collision passes, optimization, and nav mesh cleanup.
I really enjoyed decorating these maps and I learned a lot from the OMD team!
